The makers of Ruby have unveiled the first look of the upcoming Malayalam film through social media on Sunday. The poster features principal cast members, all striking tense poses, hinting at its mysterious and dark setting.
Written and directed by Sujan Aromal, Ruby stars Sudhi Koppa, Appani Sarath, Aditi Ravi, Jaffer Idukki, Pramod Veliyanad, and child actors Devananda Jibin of Malikappuram fame and Eithal Evana Sherin. As per the makers, the film is described as a story "wrapped in mystery, power and darkness." Sujan, who also serves as the editor, previously co-directed and scripted the 2019 comedy-drama Thanka Bhasma Kuriyitta Thamburatty.
Ruby has cinematography by Rejin Santo and music by Prashanth Mohan M P, with lyrics by veteran lyricist Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri. Presented by director Salam Bappu, the film is produced by Shaju S and Favas under the banner of Sha Productions. Principal photography commenced earlier this year on March 31.
