Vishnu Unnikrishnan’s upcoming film Revolver Rinko is set for a theatrical release in May, its makers announced on Monday while unveiling the teaser of the film. An exact release date, however, has not been disclosed. The teaser offers a first glimpse into a story that appears to position Vishnu’s character as an unlikely saviour figure. It ends with the line: “Meet Kerala’s new hero in the second week of May,” confirming the film is targeting a mid-May release.
Written and directed by Kiran Narayanan, Revolver Rinko centres on a group of children who idolise supernatural characters and dream of making a film featuring one. Their attempts to achieve things beyond their abilities lead them to Priyesh, played by Vishnu, setting in motion the events that shape the narrative. The film also stars child actors Sreepath of Malikappuram fame, Dhyan Niranjan, Adhisesh, Visad Krishna and Avani, alongside Lalu Alex, Vijeesh, Sanju Sivram, Saju Navodaya, Mareena Michael Kurisingal and Anjali Nair.
Produced by Tharaka Productions, Revolver Rinko has cinematography by Faisal Ali, editing by Ayoob Khan and music by Ranjin Raj.
