Recently, we reported about the Telugu version of Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros being scheduled to release on April 24, Friday. Sahu Garapati's Shine Screens is the Telugu distributor for the film, directed by Savin SA and written by Vipin Das. On Monday, Nani congratulated the team behind Vaazha 2 as he shared the Telugu trailer for the film, starring social media sensations such as Hashir, Alan, Vinayak, and Ajin.
Sharing the trailer for film in Telugu, Nani wrote, "Congratulations on the amazing reception that Vaazha 2 is getting all over the world. Glad that Shine Screens is bringing this blockbuster to us here too."
Expressing his happiness to share the trailer for Vaazha 2 in Telugu, Nani wrote, "My best wishes to Sahu Garapati garu, Vipin Das, Savin SA and the entire team for April 24th."
The Telugu release of the film comes hot on the heels of the humongous success of the Malayalam original. It has grossed more than 200 crore at the global box office, thus becoming only the fifth film to breach the said milestone. In India alone, it has grossed 127.42 crore, according to data from the tracker Sacnilk.
With the Telugu release, and with no major release expected in Malayalam in the next few days, Vaazha II is very likely to break Lokah's record of being the highest-grossing film in Malayalam. Directed by Dominic Arun and starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen, among others, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra grossed a little over 303 crore from theatres worldwide, according to Sacnilk data. If Vaazha II breaks Lokah's record, it would be quite remarkable, especially considering the absence of major stars in the film.
Besides the aforementioned quartet, Vaazha II also stars Vijay Babu, Biju Kuttan, Alphonse Puthren, Ameen, Aju Varghese, and Angel Maria, among others.
