Fans of Mammootty and Mohanlal have another major date to look forward to ahead of the release of Patriot. A special promotional chat show, titled Patriot Legends Hangout, will begin streaming on JioHotstar from April 23. The show brings together the two Malayalam cinema legends in a relaxed, celebratory setting and is expected to offer viewers candid conversations and behind-the-scenes moments connected to the much-awaited film. The recently released promo featuring Mammootty and Mohanlal sharing light-hearted moments has already generated strong excitement online.
Alongside the star duo, the programme will also feature director Mahesh Narayanan and key members of the Patriot team, including Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Sushin Shyam and Rajeev Menon. Prakash Varma appears to be leading the interactions as the interviewer.
Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, Patriot appears to centre on a company named Shakti Solutions, owned by Fahadh's character, and a controversial software programme, which begins disrupting civilian life. As events spiral out of control, Mammootty’s character Daniel seemingly turns rogue to uncover the truth, later joining forces with Mohanlal’s soldier character for a high-risk mission. The film also stars Nayanthara, Revathi, Darshana Rajendran, Grace Antony and others. Backed by Anto Joseph and KG Anil Kumar, the spy thriller is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on May 1.
