The remarkable box office run of Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros has reached a new high, with the film officially crossing the ₹100 crore mark globally. The makers confirmed the milestone on Wednesday, as the film continues to draw strong crowds well into its second week.

Trade tracker Sacnilk.com reported on Thursday that the film has grossed ₹103.52 crore worldwide, comprising ₹54.62 crore from India and ₹48.90 crore overseas. Its India net collections stand at ₹47.15 crore, amassed across 11,538 shows, underlining the film’s sustained theatrical pull.

Vaazha 2’s performance in Kerala remains a key driver of its success. According to local tracker What The Fuss, the second instalment to the 2024 hit has already crossed ₹50 crore in the state, emerging as the joint second-fastest film to reach the milestone at the Kerala box office, matching the pace of Thudarum at eight days and trailing only L2: Empuraan.

Current trends indicate that Vaazha 2 is heading towards ₹56 crore in Kerala by the end of its second week, with trade projections suggesting a potential ₹75 crore total by the second weekend. If the momentum holds, the film is widely expected to cross ₹100 crore in Kerala alone, a rare feat following Mohanlal's Thudarum and Kalyani Priyadarshan's Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.

International markets have also contributed significantly, with the Middle East remaining a key driver of Vaazha 2’s overseas performance, complemented by steady returns from North America. Directed by Savin SA and written by Vipin Das, the film features a cast led by digital creators Hashir, Alan, Vinayak and Ajin. Their success signals a notable shift in audience preferences, with content and relatability driving footfall over traditional star power.

With strong word of mouth, consistent weekday occupancy and no major competition in sight, Vaazha 2 now appears firmly on course to challenge the ₹200 crore worldwide mark, making it one of the most significant Malayalam box office success stories in recent years.
