The other day, we reported about Drishyam 3 going on floors after Mohanlal won the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contributions to cinema. Mohanlal's Drishyam co-star Meena shared her thoughts about her journey in the franchise and praised the Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner. "To call Lalettan a co star is an honour, but to call him a friend is a blessing," Meena wrote. She added, "His dedication, and brilliance shine in every role and Drishyam is another chapter in this beautiful journey of friendship and cinema. So proud of you Laletta." Meena went on to add, "Excited for our third sequel of Drishyam." She also shared some stills from an event where she and her Drishyam co-stars and crew felicitated Mohanlal with a cake-cutting ceremony.
Mohanlal went straight to his mother's home in Kochi after receiving the award in Delhi and then joined the sets of his film with writer-director Jeethu Joseph. The first schedule of the film's production is underway in Kochi. The cast and crew will then head to Thodupuzha, the location of Georgekutty and his family's (Mohanlal) residence.
Recently, director Jeethu said that Drishyam 3 will not be a thriller, like the first two parts, and will instead focus on Georgekutty's life after the events of the second part. The filmmaker also told the audience to not have too many expectations from the film.
