Kalyani Priyadarshan's Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has stormed past another major milestone, climbing to the number two spot on the all-time Malayalam worldwide grossers list. The fantasy spectacle has reportedly collected an estimated ₹236.55 crore globally in 17 days, overtaking both Mohanlal's Thudarum and Manjummel Boys. Only Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan now remains ahead.

According to trade reports, Lokah has grossed ₹83.19 crore in Kerala and ₹46.71 crore from the rest of India, while its overseas collections stand at $12.09 million (₹106.65 crore). Breaking down its run in Kerala, the film collected ₹38.64 crore in week one and ₹36.12 crore in week two, followed by ₹3.25 crore on its third Friday and ₹5.18 crore on its third Saturday, bringing the 17-day Kerala total to ₹83.19 crore.

Released on August 28 during Onam, Lokah is produced by Dulquer Salmaan under Wayfarer Films and directed by Dominic Arun, with additional screenplay and dramaturgy by actor Santhy Balachandran. The film reimagines a beloved Kerala folklore through a superhero lens and is the opening chapter of a planned five-part cinematic universe.

The ensemble features Kalyani Priyadarshan in the titular role alongside Naslen, Chandu Salimkumar, Arun Kurian, Nishanth Sagar and Vijayaraghavan. Tamil actor-choreographer Sandy makes his Malayalam debut as the antagonist, while Mammootty delivers a surprise appearance as the enigmatic Moothon. Cameos from Dulquer Salmaan as Charlie / Odiyan and Tovino Thomas as Micheal / Chathan were also officially unveiled.
