
Nivin Pauly's new film with B Unnikrishnan commenced on Thursday with a pooja ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram. The actor joined the sets a day later, on Friday. Unnikrishnan took to social media to share photos of Nivin's first day on the sets. This is the first time the two are collaborating, and it is said to be a political drama.
Veteran actor-director Balachandra Menon also plays a pivotal role in the film. Further details regarding the plot and supporting cast have not yet been disclosed. Gokulam Gopalan's Sree Gokulam Movies is producing this yet-to-be-titled film.
Unnikrishnan is known for helming films such as Madampi, Grandmaster, and Villain, among others. He last made the 2023 Mammootty-starrer Christopher.
Nivin was last seen in the 2024 film Malayalee From India, directed by Dijo Jose Antony. He currently has multiple projects lined up. Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum-fame Akhil Sathyan’s Sarvam Maya, and Garudan-fame Arun Varma's Baby Girl, and the Tamil film Benz, which is also part of LCU, are some of Nivin's upcoming films in different stages of production.
Also awaiting release is Sandeep Kumar and George Philip Roy’s Dear Students, co-starring Nayanthara, the Tamil film Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, and Nivin’s web series debut Pharma, directed by PR Arun.
