Earlier, we reported about Mohanlal's daughter Vismaya making her acting debut with a film titled Thudakkam (The Beginning). The latest from the project is that its pooja ceremony will take place at 9:30 AM at Crown Plaza, Kochi, tomorrow. Jude Anthany Joseph has been tapped to direct the film, whereas Antony Perumbavoor's Aashirvad Cinemas banner is set to produce it.
The makers of the film are yet to disclose further details about the project. Interestingly, the pooja ceremony coincides with the release of Vismaya's actor brother Pranav Mohanlal's horror film Dies Irae, with director Rahul Sadasivan of Bhoothakaalam and Bramayugam fame. On the other hand, Mohanlal's film Vrusshabha from director Nanda Kishore is also set to have its release on November 06 this year.
When the makers announced the project recently, Mohanlal wrote, "Dear Mayakutty, may your 'Thudakkam' be just the first step in a lifelong love affair with cinema."
Vismaya Mohanlal's experience and training in martial arts has fuelled speculation about whether it will be an action-oriented film. Recently, she resumed Muay Thai training, which some view as her getting into shape for the film.
Interestingly, Pranav Mohanlal also made his debut as a lead actor with an action film, Jeethu Joseph's Aadhi.
