The makers of Madhuvidhu released the second look poster on Saturday, on the occasion of lead actor Sharaf U Dheen's birthday. The poster features Sharaf in two get-ups, one of which has him donning a turban and a kurta pajama. The earlier-released first look featured him alongside the female lead, Kalyani Panicker.
Directed by debutant Vishnu Aravind, Madhuvidhu is billed as a fun family entertainer. It is scripted jointly by Bibin Mohan, the co-writer of Mammootty’s Shylock, and Jai Vishnu, one of the writers of Sharafudheen’s Madhura Manohara Moham and The Pet Detective.
Madhuvidhu marks the debut of Kalyani Panicker, the daughter of veteran actor Bindu Panicker. The film also stars Jagadish, Azees Nedumangad, Saikumar, Sreejaya, Amal Jose, and Sanju Madhu, among others. Music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, with cinematography by Viswajith Odukkathil and editing by Christy Sebastian. It is produced by Vinayaka Ajith's Ajith Vinayaka Films, who earlier backed films such as Ponman, Sarkeet, and Gaganachari.
Meanwhile, Sharaf's latest release, The Pet Detective, which is also his maiden commercial production venture, continues its decent run in theatres. Directed by Praneesh Viayan, also a debutant, it is a comedy-thriller featuring several quirky characters and subplots. Apart from that, Sharaf is also part of the upcoming Nivin Pauly-B Unnikrishnan film, said to be a political drama.
