As Dies Irae inches closer to its theatrical release, the makers have announced that a release trailer will be out on Saturday at 12pm. The Pranav Mohanlal-starrer, headlined by Rahul Sadasivan, is set to hit screens on October 31, for Halloween.
In the earlier released teaser and trailer, Pranav is seen living in a luxurious house where he is tormented by a supernatural presence. Ever since his debut, Rahul has focused solely on horror films, and this is his fourth consecutive attempt in the same genre after Red Rain, Bhoothakaalam, and Bramayugam. Rahul himself has scripted the new film, which is inspired by some real events. It also stars Jibin Gopinath and Manohari Joy in important roles.
Dies Irae is produced by Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S Sashikanth under Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios, who also backed the director's Bramayugam.
Bramayugam cinematographer Shehnad Jalal, composer Christo Xavier, production designer Jothish Shankar, and editor Shafique Mohamed Ali also return for Dies Irae.
Meanwhile, the makers of Dies Irae are planning paid premieres on October 30 in select centres in India and abroad. Bookings for the same have already been opened for a few screens in the Gulf region.
