
Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films has acquired the Kerala distribution of Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies. Starring Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Marco actor Ishan Shoukath, Vishak Nair, and Pooja Mohandas, the film is a wrestling action comedy entertainer.
Set against the backdrop of an underground WWE-style wrestling club in Fort Kochi, Chatha Pacha is directed by debutant Adhvaith Nayar, who has also penned the story. According to the makers, the film will explore the lives of characters who become part of this “gritty and flamboyant world.” Its screenplay and dialogues are penned by Sanoop Thykoodam, who also wrote Chunkzz, Vikruthi, and Sumesh & Ramesh.
Chatha Pacha marks the Malayalam debut of the acclaimed composer trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, who are handling the songs, while the background score is done by Kishkindha Kaandam-fame Mujeeb Majeed. Cinematographer Anend C Chandran, editor Praveen Prabhakar, and action choreographer Kalai Kingson are also part of the technical team.
Chatha Pacha is produced by Ritesh S Ramakrishnan and Shihan Shoukath under the Reel World Entertainment banner. George Sebastian and Sunil Singh of Mammootty Kampany serve as executive and line producers, respectively.
Wayfarer Films last released the critically acclaimed satire Feminichi Fathima in Kerala.
