Filmmaker Don Palathara took to social media to share his views on Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another. The film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead, was released on September 26.
Through his X handle, the director wrote, "One Battle After Another is indeed a film worth a watch. Most of it is a straight forward action drama, coupled with America's political situation these days. That's not a genre I expected from PTA, but he has surprised us before too with playing with different genres and themes."
He added, "I loved the Father - Daughter love part of the film. Made me tear up a few times in the theatre as I was reminded of home. I also liked the way the chase sequence was filmed and edited. I would say that this is my fourth or fifth favorite PTA."
One Battle After Another also stars Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infinti, and Alana Haim. This is the first collaboration between DiCaprio and Anderson, who has worked with actors such as Philip Seymor Hoffman, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Joaquin Pheonix.
Don Palathara is known for directing films like Shavam, 1956, Central Travancore, Santhoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam, and Family.
