The other day, actor Hareesh Kanaran alleged that NM Badusha, the production controller and producer who managed his schedules for films, played a part in having him removed from Ajayante Randam Moshanam, starring Tovino Thomas in the lead role. Hareesh said that Badusha borrowed 20 lakh from him a long time back and did not repay the full amount. According to the actor, Badusha asked for and confirmed his dates, a 40-day-long call sheet, for ARM, but the production controller did not call him back when he asked the former to pay back the rest of the amount. Hareesh revealed that he thought that the makers of ARM must have changed the cast for creative reasons when Badusha did not get back to him about the film. However, the actor also disclosed that he met Tovino at a subsequent event and that the latter asked him why he did not appear for the film's shoot, despite approaching him for a role.
Hareesh said to Reporter TV, "Tovino informed me, 'Badusha told us that you did not have dates for the film and that you did not respond to his calls to talk about it.' When I inquired further about Badusha, I heard that he has propagated negatives about me to many people. Consequently, I have lost many films that I was supposed to do."
Hareesh also alleged that Badusha has done deeds similar to what he did with his call sheet for ARM with other film projects as well. He added that he would lodge a fresh complaint against Badusha with the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), of which he is a member. "Badusha has made a threat to end my career through Instagram as well," Hareesh Kanaran accused.
Meanwhile, Badusha has offered a cryptic message on social media, seemingly referring to the controversy. In the post, he said that he would say everything he wants to disclose after the release of his film Rachel, starring Honey Rose. Rachel is slated for a December 12 release in theatres.
