

Filmmaker Ranjith's short film, titled Aaro – Someone, is set to release on its producer MammoottyKampany's official YouTube channel at 5:00 pm tomorrow, the makers announced a while ago. It marks the first-ever short film that MammoottyKampany has produced. The film stars only three actors: Manju Warrier, Shyamaprasad, and Azees Nedumangad. It took only two days of shoot and is just 20 minutes long. Recently, the makers held a preview screening for the film.
Aaro – Someone reunites director Ranjith with producer Mammootty, following their last collaboration as a filmmaker and director on 2013’s Kadal Kadannoru Mathukkutty. The filmmaker also produced the 2014 psychological thriller Munnariyippu, starring Mammootty and directed by Venu.
The short film is based on a story by VR Sudheesh. Recently, Ranjith revealed that when he told the story to Mammootty during a past conversation, the latter decided to produce the film. Ranjith also disclosed that he first considered Manju Warrier and Shyamaprasad after reading the story.
Aaro marks Manju Warrier's debut in short films. It is Ranjith's second short film. Recently, his directorial debut Ravanaprabhu hit theatres again and grossed more than two crore from theatres.
