Dulquer Salmaan and Mammootty are yet to share the screen in a feature film. However, the much-awaited collaboration is likely to become a reality if the Lokah makers' plan comes to fruition. In a recent conversation with Gopinath, Dulquer said that there are "definite plans" to make the collaboration happen, with Mammootty playing a cameo in one of the upcoming Lokah films starring Dulquer as well. Dulquer also quipped that they somehow managed to convince Mammootty to make a fleeting appearance in the first film in the franchise, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, which became the new industry hit in Malayalam cinema. Mammootty's voice and a part of his hand appear in the first instalment in the Lokah franchise. He plays a character named Moothon in the fantasy-adventure-horror film.
Dulquer's new film Kaantha, co-starring Bhagyashri Borse, Samuthirakani, and Rana Daggubati, among others, is now out in theatres. On the other hand, Mammootty is awaiting the release of Kalamkaval, where he stars alongside Vinayakan. The other day, Mammootty Kompany, the film's production banner, dropped a trailer for the film, which follows an investigation into an age-old case.
