Dulquer Salmaan recently spoke extensively about his upcoming film Kaantha and gave away a piece of interesting information about his character in I'm Game, a film that he also produces. In a recent interview with Galatta Plus, Dulquer said that he plays "a cool" character in the film, which he described as "very modern and very slick". Dulquer did not reveal further details about the film or his character and asked the interviewer to "stick to Kaantha". However, it has caused some excitement among Malayalam cinema fans and followers.
Earlier, the actor-producer disclosed that I'm Game would release in April next year. The film, which hails from director Nahas Hidhayath of RDX fame, brings Dulquer back to Malayalam cinema for the first time after 2023's King of Kotha.
Touted as a mass entertainer, the film also features Antony Varghese in an important role, and it marks Mysskin's debut in Malayalam cinema. The cast also includes Kathir, who recently made his Malayalam debut with Meesha, and Samyuktha Viswanathan.
Nahas is directing I’m Game from a script by Bilal Moidu, Ismail Aboobacker and Sajeer Baba, with dialogues penned by Shahabas Rasheed and Aadarsh Sukumaran. Dulquer is producing it alongside Jom Varghese.
In the meantime, Dulquer is awaiting the November 14 release of Kaantha, directed by Selvamani Selvaraj. Rana Daggubati, who produces the film with Dulquer, Bhagyashri Borse, and Samuthirakani also play important characters in Kaantha.
