Ahead of the release of Roshan Mathew and Zarin Shihab's Ithiri Neram on November 7, the makers have shared its trailer. Roshan and Zarin seem to be playing college sweethearts who meet after many years and decide to spend a day together. The trailer promises a conversation-heavy film largely centered around the two. Nandu and Anand Manmadhan play other significant roles in the film.
Ithiri Neram is directed by Prasanth Vijay, who previously helmed critically acclaimed indie features such as Athisayangalude Venal and Daayam. In a recent interview with us, the director said Ithiri Neram is not just another romantic drama, but has a major genre shift with the story getting into unusual tangents. The cast also includes Jeo Baby, Athulya Sreeni, Kannan Nayar, Sarita Nair, Krishnan Balakrishnan, Amal Krishna, Srinesh Pai, Sreekala Suresh, Akhilesh GK, Manoharan, and Shereef Thampanoor.
On the technical front, it has cinematography by Rakesh Dharan, editing by Francies Louis, and music by Basil CJ. Presented by filmmaker Jeo Baby, Ithiri Neram is jointly backed by Jomon Jacob, Dijo Augustine, Einstin Zac Paul, Vishnu Rajan, and Sajin S Raj.
Zarin, best known for her role in Aattam, is also part of Mahesh Narayanan's ambitious multistarrer Patriot, which also stars Mammootty, Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Nayanthara, among others.
Roshan's upcoming lineup includes the wrestling-based film Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies and a thriller with M Padmakumar.
