Nivin Pauly to lead 1001 Nunakal and Sarkeet director Thamar KV’s next film

As he prepares for the release of his sophomore directorial Sarkeet, 1001 Nunakal-fame Thamar TV has announced his third film, starring Nivin Pauly in the lead. The director made the announcement via social media, sharing a picture of himself with Nivin. It will be produced by Ajith Vinayaka, who is also backing Sarkeet. Further details about the upcoming project, expected to go on floors this year, are awaited.

Sarkeet, headlined by Asif Ali and filmed entirely in the UAE, was slated for an April release. However, there have been no updates since its teaser launch in early February. The film features All We Imagine As Light actor Divya Prabha as the female lead, alongside child actor Orhan and Deepak Parambol in pivotal roles. The cast also includes Remya Suresh, Prashanth Alexander, Swathi Das Prabhu and Zhins Shan. Aeyaz is handling the cinematography, with music composed by Govind Vasantha, while Premalu actor Sangeeth Prathap serves as the editor. It is described as an emotional tale exploring friendship, family and heartfelt bonds.

Meanwhile, Nivin has wrapped up shooting for his upcoming film Dear Students, co-starring Nayanthara, which he is also producing. The Premam actor also has several other films at various stages of production, including Enkilum Chandrike director Adithyan Chandrasekhar's Multiverse Manmadhan, Ishq-fame Anuraj Manohar’s Shekhara Varma Rajavu, Abrid Shine’s sequel to Action Hero Biju, Akhil Sathyan’s second directorial venture, an untitled film by debutant Aaryan Ramani Girijavallabhavan and the Tamil film Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, directed by Ram. Additionally, he is set to make his web series debut this year with Pharma, a Disney+ Hotstar production directed by PR Arun.
