Earlier this Sunday, producer TR Shamsudheen announced his next project under his Dreamkatcher Productions banner. The film reunites actor Asif Ali and director Jis Joy after last year's Thalavan and both of them with their Innale Vare screenwriters Bobby and Sanjay. "With hope in our hearts, we step into this journey, wishing it brings the same content, inspiration, joy, and fun that you've loved in our previous films," wrote Shamsudheen, who produces the yet-to-be titled project alongside Venu Gopalakrishnan. The project marks the fifth venture of Dreamkatcher Productions. On the other hand, Kaalish Productions presents the film.
In the announcement post, Shamsudheen shared a picture of a passport front cover with what seems like a flight ticket to Canada inside it, hinting at a film that revolves around a non-resident Indian. Asif Ali has been a part of every Jis Joy directorial thus far. The actor played key roles in Jis Joy's debut film Bicycle Thieves, Sunday Holiday, Vijay Superum Pournamiyum, Innale Vare, and Thalavan. He played himself in Mohan Kumar Fans.
Asif, who last played a police officer in Rekhachithram, has Abhyanthara Kuttavali next. First-time writer-director Sethunath Padmakumar's film stars Asif as a youngster on trial for a domestic abuse case. Abhyanthara Kuttavali is slated for an April 03 release. The actor also has Thamar KV’s Sarkeet, Jeethu Joseph’s Mirage, alongside Aparna Balamurali, Rohith VS’ Tiki Taka, a sequel to Thalavan, and Prajesh Sen’s Houdini – The King of Magic, in the pipeline.
