The first look of the Mathew Thomas-starrer Night Riders, the directorial debut of seasoned Malayalam editor Noufal Abdullah, was unveiled on Wednesday. The poster features Mathew alongside Aavesham-fame Roshan Shanavas and Sarath Sabha, with all three of them holding flashlights at night and looking curiously toward something off-frame. It is jointly scripted by Jyothish M and Sunu AV, the writer-duo who previously wrote the Arjun Ashokan-Mamitha Baiju-Anaswara Rajan starrer Pranaya Vilasam.

Billed as a horror comedy set in the fictional village of Nellikkampoyyil, Night Riders also stars Meenakshi Unnikrishnan, Abu Salim, Rony David Raj, Vishnu Agasthya, Merin Philip, Sinil Sainuddin, Noushad Ali, Naseer Sankranthy, and Chaithra Praveen in prominent roles. The film has cinematography by Abhilash Shankar and music by Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha S Nair, with Noufal also handling the cuts. It is produced by Abbas Thirunavaya, Sajin Ali and Dipen Patel under the banner of A & HS Productions, with Vimal TK, Kapil Jhaveri and Gurmeet Singh serving as co-producers.

Last seen in Lovely, Mathew also has Salaam Bukhari's Udumbanchola Vision and Arunlal Ramachandran's untitled film, opposite Njan Prakashan-fame Devika Sanjay, in the pipeline.
