Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju will headline director Girish AD's next film Bethlehem Kudumba Unit. It is produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran's Bhavana Studios, marking the banner's reunion with Girish after Premalu.
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is planned to go on floors in September. For the new film, Girish has retained the core team from Premalu, which includes his co-writer Kiran Josey, music director Vishnu Vijay, cinematographer Ajmal Sabu, and editor Akash Joseph Varghese.
Girish AD and Bhavana Studios were supposed to start the shooting of Premalu 2 this year, but as per the makers, the project has now been indefinitely postponed.
Nivin currently has a handful of projects lined up. He was most recently seen shooting for Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum director Akhil Sathyan's Sarvam Maya, a fantasy entertainer. He also has Garudan-fame Arun Varma's Baby Girl and Dear Students, co-starring Nayanthara, in different stages of production. After a brief gap, he is returning to Tamil by playing the antagonist in Raghava Lawrence's Tamil film Benz, backed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Additionally, the Premam actor's Disney+ Hotstar show Pharma, directed by PR Arun, is expected to release this year.
Mamitha Baiju, whose career took off after Premalu, also has projects in different languages coming up. It includes four Tamil films: actor-politician Vijay’s last film Jana Nayagan, Suriya's new film with Lucky Baskhar director Venky Atluri, Ram Kumar-Vishnu Vishal's Irandu Vaanam, and the Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer Dude.
In Malayalam, Mamitha is also set to star alongside her Premalu co-actor Sangeeth Prathap in Dinoy Paulose's directorial debut.
