In a bold move, actor Honey Rose has publicly named and filed a formal complaint against Boby Chemmannur, the chairman of the Chemmanur International group, for alleged obscene behaviour and online harassment. On Tuesday, Honey revealed the identity of the powerful stalker in a social media post, claiming that Bobby, who is known for his vast business empire and influential online presence, had targeted her with lewd remarks.
"Boby Chemmannur, I have filed a complaint with the Ernakulam Central Police Station regarding your ongoing obscene behaviour towards me," she wrote. The actor emphasised that she would be lodging additional complaints against his associates, whom she believes share his mindset.
The complaint comes after months of what Honey describes as persistent harassment, including offensive comments made on Boby’s popular YouTube channel. The actor also stressed that the businessman's wealth should not grant him immunity from the law, asserting that she places her trust in the strength of India’s legal system, rather than the influence of money. "You place your faith in your wealth, while I place mine in the strength of India's legal system," she declared in her post.
With her upcoming film Rachel set to release on January 10, Honey’s commitment to confronting online harassment is likely to spark further conversations around online decorum and the protection of women’s dignity in the digital space.
