On Thursday, the makers unveiled the teaser for the Vijayaraghavan-starrer Ouseppinte Osiyathu. Slated to hit theatres on March 7, the film is directed by debutant Sarath Chandran RJ and is scripted by newcomer Fazal Hassan.
The 54-second teaser opens with a traditional house set in a misty rural landscape before introducing the principal cast, which includes Dileesh Pothan, Kani Kusruti, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Lenaa, Hemanth Menon and Zarin Shihab. Tense glimpses of the family, accompanied by ominous music, promise an intense and suspenseful family drama.
According to the makers, Ouseppinte Osiyathu centres on Ousepp, a wealthy man who amassed his fortune through land dealings and money lending. Despite his affluence, he remains miserly. His three sons, despite having secured prestigious positions, remain under his control. However, an unexpected tragedy shakes the family, leading to conflicts that drive the narrative forward.
On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Arvind Kannabiran, editing by National Award winner B Ajithkumar and music by Sumesh Parameswar. It is produced by Edward Anthony under the banner of Maygoor Films.
