The first single from the Mohanlal-starrer Thudarum, titled Kanmanipoove, will be released on February 21 at 7 pm. Along with the announcement, the makers have also unveiled a promo video featuring the lead actor alongside veteran playback singer MG Sreekumar, who has lent his vocals to the track. The melodious number, composed by Jakes Bejoy, has lyrics penned by Harinarayanan BK.
Helmed by Saudi Vellakka director Tharun Moorthy, Thudarum marks the on-screen reunion of Mohanlal and Shobana after more than a decade. The film is jointly scripted by Tharun and KR Sunil, based on the latter's story. It also stars Binu Pappu, Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Irshad Ali, Thomas Mathew, and Arsha Baiju in pivotal roles.
Binu also serves as Thudarum’s co-director. On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Shaji Kumar, with editing by the late Nishadh Yousuf and Shafeeque VB. It is produced by M Renjith under the banner of Rejaputhra Visual Media.
Thudaram was initially slated for a theatrical release on January 30 but was postponed. The makers are yet to announce a new release date.
