The title and first look of Mammootty and Vinayakan’s upcoming film will be unveiled on February 15 at 6 pm, announced the makers on Friday. It marks the directorial debut of Jithin K Jose, who previously wrote the story for the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Kurup (2021).
The untitled project, which wrapped up filming in November last year, marks the seventh production under Mammootty’s home banner Mammootty Kampany. Scripted by Jishnu Sreekumar, the yet-to-be-titled film is rumoured to feature Mammootty in a grey-shaded role. On the technical front, Faisal Ali is wielding the camera and Praveen Prabhakar is handling the cuts. Further details regarding the plot and the extended cast are awaited.
Meanwhile, Mammootty will next be seen in debutant Deeno Dennis' Bazooka, slated to hit theatres on April 10. The veteran actor is also headlining Mahesh Narayanan’s multi-starrer MMMN, reportedly a big-budgeted political thriller, co-starring Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil and Kunchacko Boban. Additionally, the Bramayugam actor has signed on for a mass entertainer with Falimy director Nithish Sahadev.
Vinayakan, best known for his performances in Rajeev Ravi’s Kammatti Paadam (2016) and the Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer (2023), was last seen in Thekku Vadakku (2024), alongside Suraj Venjaramoodu.
