Actor Mohanlal's mother, Santhakumari, passed away at her residence in Ernakulam on Tuesday. She was 90. Mohanlal, who was in Ernakulam for shooting, has rushed home.
Santhakumari had been bedridden for the past 10 years following a stroke, which left her paralysed. She was moved to Ernakulam for treatment at a multispecialty hospital in the city.
Her husband, Viswanathan Nair, passed away earlier, while her elder son, Pyarelal, died in 2000. Santhakumari's final rites are expected to be performed at their home in Thiruvanathapuram.
