Breaking her silence six days after the verdict in the actor assault case was pronounced, Manju Warrier, through a social media post, rallied behind the survivor, saying that justice is incomplete as the conspirator remains unpunished.

Manju, the former wife of Dileep, the eighth accused in the case, who was alleged to be the mastermind behind the attack, is one of the prime witnesses in the case. However, the prosecution failed to establish any link between Dileep and the first six accused, leading to his acquittal.

In her social media note, Manju said, "I have utmost respect for the Honorable Court. But in this case, justice for the survivor is still incomplete. Only those who committed the crime have been punished. The mind that planned and enabled this heinous act, whoever that is, still walks free, and that is terrifying," adding that justice will be complete only when everyone behind this crime is held accountable.

While pledging her complete support to the survivor forever, Manju mentioned this fight is not just for one survivor. "This is for every girl, every woman, every human being who deserves to walk with courage, heads held high, without fear in their workplaces, on the streets, and in life," she said.

Meanwhile, the first six accused in the case, including Pulsar Suni, have been sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment. Dissatisfied with the quantum of punishment and Dileep's acquittal, the government has decided to move the High Court.

Earlier, the survivor also expressed displeasure in the verdict and how the case was handled, "especially when it came to one particular accused." Dejected by the court ruling, she added that the eight-year-long journey made her realise that "not every citizen in this country is treated equally before the law."
