Hridayapoorvam trailer: On Tuesday, the makers of Mohanlal-Sathyan Anthikad's Hridayapoorvam unveiled the film's trailer. Slated to hit theatres on August 28 for Onam, it marks the reunion of the hit actor-director duo after a decade-long gap.
The trailer opens with Mohanlal trying to explain something earnestly to a visibly confused Sangeeth Prathap. He describes how there are moments when something we attempt to conceal slips out quietly, like a breeze through a half-closed door. It can arrive uninvited, unsettling us, and sometimes it takes us into depths we never intended to enter, leaving us scattered and confused. When asked by Sangeeth what exactly he means, Mohanlal simply admits that he himself is in such a situation, refusing to elaborate further despite Sangeeth’s request.
The visuals then shift to glimpses of an urban setting, introducing the wider cast that includes the film's female lead, Malavika Mohanan and Sangita, accompanied by the track 'Hridayame'. A lighter sequence follows, showing Mohanlal on a video call with a young woman recalling her mother’s quip that had she married him instead, she would have ended up with a far more handsome father. The film promises to be a breezy and heartfelt family drama anchored by Mohanlal’s charm.
Hridayapoorvam, set in Pune, also features Siddique, Nishan, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, and Janardhanan in prominent roles. The screenplay and dialogues are written by debutant Sonu TP, based on a story by Sathyan’s son, Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum director Akhil Sathyan.
