Naslen's new film Mollywood Times started rolling on Saturday. Producer Ashiq Usman announced the commencement of shooting by sharing a picture of a clapboard on social media. Earlier, on July 14, the makers had a pooja ceremony, attended by team members and other special guests, including Fahadh Faasil, actor-director Althaf Salim, director Tharun Moorthy, and actor-writer Binu Pappu.
Mollywood Times is directed by editor-turned-filmmaker Abhinav Sunder Nayak, who debuted in 2022 with Mukundan Unni Associates. The upcoming film is scripted by Rekhachithram co-writer Ramu Sunil, with music by Jakes Bejoy. The makers have not yet spilt details about the plot, but the tagline 'A Hate Letter to Cinema' suggests it is set against the backdrop of the film industry.
Naslen's next release will be Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, in which he plays the lead alongside Kalyani Priyadarshan. The fantasy-adventure, produced by Dulquer Salmaan, is scheduled for Onam release, although the makers are yet to announce a date. Naslen is also part of Asif Ali's Tiki Taka, shooting for which is still progressing.
