The makers of Maine Pyar Kiya, starring Hridhu Haroon and Preity Mukhundhan, have unveiled the teaser for the upcoming romantic comedy thriller. The film, directed by debutant Fazil Faziludeen, is set for a theatrical release on August 29 for Onam.
The one-minute teaser opens with shot of Preity, followed by the introduction of Hridhu’s character. In a light-hearted moment, he is seen excitedly telling his father, played by filmmaker-actor Jeo Baby, that he proposed to a girl directly for the first time. In a seemingly inebriated response, the father retorts, “That is good, but you must have got rejected.” The teaser then shifts to vibrant glimpses of campus life, with scenes of Hridhu and Preity in a college setting. Hridhu is also seen with his group of male friends, who encourage him to keep pursuing Preity, despite her initial rejection. Soon, the teaser takes a sudden turn in tone, introducing action-heavy sequences featuring Tamil gangsters clashing with Hridhu and his friends. The film promises to be an entertaining romantic comedy thriller, offering a blend of humour, youthful romance and gritty action.
