Earlier today, we reported about the passing of actor and Prem Nazir's son Shanavas. Reportedly, he passed away following treatment for recent health issues associated with kidney. The actor made his debut with 1981's Prema Geethangal, directed by Balachandra Menon. A while ago, filmmaker-actor Balachandra Menon reminisced about Shanavas. He took to Instagram, posted an old photograph with the late actor and wrote as the caption, "ADIEU to my Hero SHANAVAZ. May his soul rest in peace."

Shanavas played lead characters in many successful films in the 1980s, including Mylanji, Manithali, Mouna Raagam, Chithram, Lal Americayil, and China Town. He has more than 50 feature films to his credit, including about half-a-dozen films in Tamil.

Congress MLA Ramesh Chennithala also paid tribute to the late actor. Ramesh took to X and wrote, "Paid my respects to actor Shanavas who passed away yesterday. Son of evergreen hero of Malayalam cinema, Prem Nazir, Shanavas was an actor and performer in his own right. Condolences."

Actor and MLA Mukesh also reminisced about Shanavas. In a lengthy Facebook post, Mukesh wrote that actors, including him, looked at Shanavas with admiration and amazement when he entered cinema. "All of us felt proud whenever we would meet him in Chennai because he is the son of the great Prem Nazir," wrote Mukesh. The actor-politician also added that Shanavas told him that he would come back to cinema after his health situation improves.

Further, Mohanlal and Mammootty also paid their homages to the late actor.
