Tamil actor Kathir, best known for his roles in Pariyerum Perumal and Vikram Vedha, has expressed heartfelt gratitude on social media following the release of his debut Malayalam film Meesha, which opened on August 1.

In a note posted on his social media handle, Kathir reflected on the experience of stepping into a new industry, calling it an opportunity to “reinvent” himself and relive the excitement of a “first time”. The actor described Meesha as both a professional and personal turning point, sharing that the unfamiliarity of a new language and working environment pushed him to discover a “whole new side” of himself.

“The love and response I’ve been receiving lately from everyone has been overwhelming,” Kathir wrote, thanking audiences for embracing him as one of their own. He also extended special thanks to the film’s producer, Sajeer Gafoor, praising his commitment and vision: “It simply wouldn’t have come to life without you.”

Directed by Vikruthi filmmaker Emcy Joseph, Meesha features Kathir alongside Shine Tom Chacko, Hakkim Shah, Sudhi Koppa, Srikanth Murali and Jeo Baby. The film, produced under the banner of Unicorn Movies, has cinematography by Suresh Rajan, editing by Manoj, and music composed by Sooraj S Kurup.
