
Earlier, we reported that Vinayakan and Suraj Venjaramoodu's Thekku Vadakku will hit theatres on September 20. The makers announced that the film's trailer will be unveiled on Wednesday. It is directed by Prem Sankar, who previously helmed Randuper, which was featured in the Competition Section of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) in 2017.
According to the makers, the Thekku Vadakku explores an "unconventional relationship" between Vinayakan and Suraj's characters. The film's screenplay is written by S Hareesh, based on his story Rathri Kaaval. Hareesh, a well-known literary figure, has also scripted for Lijo Jose Pellissery films, including Jallikattu, Churuli, and Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam.
Thekku Vadakku also features Kottayam Ramesh, Merin Jose, Melvin G Babu, Shameer Khan, Vineeth Viswam, Sneha, and Sheethal in prominent roles. The film's technical crew includes music director Sam CS, cinematographer Suresh Rajan and editor Kiran Das. It is backed by Anjana Talkies in association with Odiyan director V A Shrikumar's VARS Studios.
