The makers of Asif Ali's Kishkindha Kaandam, scheduled to hit theatres on September 12 as an Onam release, dropped the film's trailer on Monday.
It is helmed by Kakshi Amminippilla director Dinjith Ayyathan and scripted by Bahul Ramesh, who also weilded the camera.
Set in a dense forest brimming with monkeys, the trailer opens by introducing us to Asif's character, his wife (Aparna Balamurali), and his father (Vijayaraghavan). What follows are glimpses that hint at past demons, involving Vijayaraghavan's character, a former military officer, which resurface to haunt him and those around him. The trailer promises a gripping and emotionally charged mystery thriller, suggesting a narrative filled with tension, suspense and the unraveling of buried secrets.
Kishkindha Kaandam also stars Jagadish, Ashokan, Nishan, Vyshnavi Raj, Major Ravi, Nizhalgal Ravi, Shebin Benson, Kottayam Ramesh, Bilas Chandrahasan, Master Aarav and Jibin Gopinath in prominent roles. The film's technical crew includes editor Sooraj ES and music director Mujeeb Majeed.
It is produced by Joby George Thadathil under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments, who is also overseeing the distribution of the film.
