On Sunday, actor Jayasurya responded to recent sexual harassment allegations, labelling them as "false". In a social media post on the occasion of his birthday, the actor, who is currently in the US with his family, expressed his gratitude to supporters during this challenging period.

Jayasurya revealed that the allegations have had a significant emotional impact on him and his loved ones. "These false allegations have shattered me, my family, and everyone who has held me close," he said. The actor also announced his intention to pursue legal action and added, "False allegations are easy to make for anyone who lacks a conscience. I only hope one realises that facing a false accusation of harassment is just as painful as the harassment itself. A lie always travels faster than the truth, but the truth will prevail."

The actor confirmed that he would return to India after fulfilling his commitments in the US and that he would continue with all legal proceedings to clear his name. He concluded his post with a biblical reference, stating, "Let those who have not sinned throw stones, but only at those who have sinned."

Jayasurya’s response comes amid fresh legal troubles. On Thursday, a new sexual assault case was registered against him. A female actor from Thiruvananthapuram has accused Jayasurya of sexually abusing her at a film location in Thodupuzha in 2013. The complaint, initially filed with the Thiruvananthapuram police, will be transferred to the Thodupuzha police for further investigation. The case will be examined by a team led by Kerala Police Academy Assistant Director Aishwarya Dongre IPS. Charges under IPC sections 354 (outraging modesty of a woman), 354A (sexual harassment), and 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) have been filed against Jayasurya.

Additionally, the Cantonment police have imposed non-bailable charges against him based on a separate complaint from a Kochi-based actor, who alleges that Jayasurya assaulted her during the shooting of a movie at the Kerala Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram.

Meanwhile, Jayasurya's upcoming film will be Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer, directed by Home-fame Rojin Thomas. Shot using virtual production technology, the supernatural fantasy film is based on the tales of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a Kerala priest who was believed to possess supernatural powers. Along with Jayasurya, the film also stars Anushka Shetty in a prominent role.
