Speculations are rife that actor-director SJ Suryah, who has been part of several big-ticket South Indian films lately, is in talks for Dulquer Salmaan's next in Malayalam. RDX-fame Nahas Hidhayath is reportedly directing the film, said to be an actioner. It is said that the makers are eyeing to commence production in November.
If reports turn out to be true, this will be the first collaboration between SJ Suryah and Dulquer Salmaan. The former has also signed another Malayalam film—a gangster comedy, alongside Fahadh Faasil. It will be directed by Vipin Das, best known for helming Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Guruvayoorambala Nadayil.
Dulquer is currently awaiting the release of his Telugu film Lucky Baskhar, set to hit screens on October 31. Directed by Venky Atluri, it is an 80s-set period film about a banker's mysterious riches.
The actor is currently working on Kaantha, a multilingual film directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, who earlier helmed the Netflix docuseries The Hunt for Veerappan.
