

On Monday, the critically acclaimed Malayalam director Krishand's upcoming film Sungsuvinte Sangarsha Ghadana (The Art Of Warfare) won the Best Feature Film recognition for October 2024 at the Paradise Film Festival. According to the festival organisers, this event is "an IMDb (Internet Movie Database) Certified international monthly online competition that aims to highlight the creators of tomorrow." The Art Of Warfare, which Krishand wrote and edited, has also been officially selected for the upcoming edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) in the Malayalam Cinema Today category.
Reportedly an actioner, The Art Of Warfare features Sanup Padaveedan, Vishnu Agasthya, Zhinz Shan, and Rahul Rajagopal in the lead roles, with Ajith K Haridas, Mrudula Murali, Silesh K Laksmi, R V Sanjeevi Kumar, Sreenath Babu, Mahi Suresh, Ajai Thambi, and Syama Bindu also starring in supporting roles. On the technical front, the film has cinematographer Prayag Mukundan and music director Rajesh Naroth.
Meanwhile, Krishand is also directing a web series for the streaming platform SonyLIV, titled Sambhava Vivaranam Naalara Sangham (The Chronicles of the 4.5 Gang). Billed as a quirky gangster drama set in Thiruvananthapuram, the series features an ensemble cast including Darshana Rajendran, Zarin Shihab, Vishnu Agasthya, Jagadish, Indrans, Santhy Balachandran, and Hakkim Shahjahan.
Krishand is widely recognised for his 2022 film Aavasavyuham: The Arbit Documentation of an Amphibian Hunt, which received significant accolades at the 69th National Film Awards, the 52nd Kerala State Film Awards, and the 26th International Film Festival of Kerala in 2021.
