Actor Mohanlal is now a member of directors’ union

On Wednesday, actor Mohanlal announced his induction into the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) as he was granted the Directors' Union membership. Director Sibi Malayil presented the actor with the membership during the Film Employees' Conference 2024 function in Kochi.

On the film front, Mohanlal is gearing up for the release of his directorial debut Barroz. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, Barroz stars Mohanlal in the titular role. Billed as a 3D fantasy film, it is scripted by Jijo Punnoose of My Dear Kuttichathan fame. The technical crew includes cinematographer Santosh Sivan, production designer Santhosh Raman, and editor A Sreekar Prasad. Lydian Nadhaswaram, the young pianist who won the American television talent show The World’s Best, will compose music. The film is eyeing a May release.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal's upcoming slate as an actor includes Prithviraj Sukumaran's Empuraan, Joshiy's Rambaan, the multilingual period epic Vrushabha, and Jeethu Joseph's Ram.
