Anushka Shetty joins the sets for Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer

Earlier we reported that Anushka Shetty has joined the cast of Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer. She has now joined the sets of director Rojin Thomas's upcoming film headlined by Jayasurya, which went on floors in April 2023. It marks the Arundhati actor's debut in Malayalam, whose last release was the Telugu film Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty, which was released last year.

The film is billed as a fantasy film based on the tales of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a Kerala priest who was believed to possess supernatural powers. The first schedule was completed in June last year. It was also reported that the film is being shot using virtual production technology, which, according to the makers, is the first of its kind in Indian cinema.

Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer, scripted by R Ramanand, has Neil D Cunha as the cinematographer, Jungjin Park as the action choreographer, and Rahul Subrahmanian Unni as the music director. Sree Gokulam Movies is backing the film, which is aiming for release in several Indian and foreign languages.
