The makers of Prithviraj Sukumaran's Aadujeevitham unveiled the much-awaited trailer of the film. The trailer opens in a vast desert with a dialogue from an old man that says, "Nobody should be able to go outside from inside."
The nearly one-and-a-half-minute-long trailer then goes on to show actor Prithviraj Sukumaran rearing goats. He struggles to walk and when he looks at his face on a mirror, he sees his unkempt hair and beard, and his face that has tanned due to the heat. We then get to see glimpses from his past including moments from when he was with his partner back in his hometown and how he came from there. In order to escape, he needs to brave the scorching heat, dangerous animals including venomous snakes and massive sand storms.
Speaking about the trailer and the film, Blessy said, “I personally feel The Goat Life is the greatest survival adventure ever, simply because something as unbelievable as that actually happened to someone. Truth has never been stranger than fiction. Actually the tagline for the novel from which the movie is adapted from itself is ‘lives we have not lived are all myths for us’. It has been a decade, but I only spent half the time Richard Attenborough spent making Gandhi, it’s not a big deal. I hope the audiences enjoy the film and the world we are presenting to them.”
Aadujeevitham is helmed by Blessy. The film is adapted from the 2008 eponymous novel written by Benyamin. The film will revolve around the life of Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant labourer who finds himself forced into slavery on a secluded farm in the deserts of Saudi Arabia.
With Prithviraj in the lead, Aadujeevitham also stars Amala Paul, Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, K R Gokul, and renowned Arab actors Talib al Balushi and RikAby in key roles.
Academy Award winners Resul Pookkutty and AR Rahman have handled music direction and sound design in Aadujeevitham. The film's technical crew also includes cinematographer Sunil KS and editor Sreekar Prasad.
