Guruvayoorambala Nadayil gets OTT release date

Guruvayoorambala Nadayil will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from June 27, announced the makers on Monday. The film, directed by Vipin Das, features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph in the lead roles. It was released worldwide on May 16, receiving positive reviews and amassed over Rs 90 crores worldwide gross collection as per the makers.

Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, written by Deepu Pradeep, also stars Nikhila Vimal, Anaswara Rajan, Jagadish, Rekha, Siju Sunny, Baiju Santhosh, Irshad, Kunhikrishnan, and Kottayam Ramesh and Tamil actor Yogi Babu in prominent roles. The film has cinematography by Neeraj Revi, editing by Johnkutty, and music direction by Ankit Menon. It is jointly backed by Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment.

An excerpt from the CE review of the film reads, "After a largely enjoyable first half,  Guruvayoorambala Nadayil loses steam when it takes the slapstick route. This is also where plenty of new characters and their conflicts are introduced, which reminds us of a world inhabited by characters in Priyadarshan's 80s films. The last half hour of the film is reminiscent of the 'confusion comedies' of that era, with too many characters and chaos. It is still a commendable effort as the makers recreate the Guruvayoor temple's ambience almost flawlessly."
