Ullozhukku, starring Parvathy Thiruvothu and Urvashi, hit screens on Friday and has opened to excellent response. Actor Tovino Thomas took to social media a while back to heap praise on the film. Urvashi plays Parvathy's mother-in-law in the film, which explores their peculiar bond, along with themes like grief, desire and freedom. The cast also includes Prashant Madhav, Arjun Radhakrishnan and Alencier in key roles.

Though Ullozhukku marks Christo Tomy's debut feature, he is a two-time National award winner for his short films. His script for Ullozhukku was also the winner among over 35,000 submissions at Cinestaan India's Storytellers Contest held in 2018.
