On Sunday, the makers unveiled the first-look poster of Unni Mukundan's Marco, directed by Haneef Adeni. The poster features the lead actor in black attire, his face streaked with blood, gripping the handle of a blood-soaked knife between his teeth.

Marco is a spin-off of the 2018 film Mikhael, which was also directed by Haneef. The latter featured Nivin Pauly in the title role and Unni as the antagonist, Marco Jr. It had previously been reported that the upcoming film would explore Marco's past and his induction into the world of crime. The filmmakers have described it as the most violent film ever made in Malayalam. The film will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

Marco also features Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Durva Thaker, Ajith Koshy, Ishan Shoukath, Mathew Varghese and Yukti Thareja, among others.

The film's cinematography is by Chandru Selvaraj, editing by Shameer Muhammed, music direction by Ravi Basrur of KGF fame and action choreography by Kalai Kingson.
