The makers of Vaazha, which is slated to hit screens on August 15, dropped its teaser on Saturday. The 1.27-minute-long teaser gives a sneak peek into the lives of a bunch of adolescent boys. The film, which comes with the tagline 'Biopic of a Billion Boys', promises a truthful exploration of the life of an average Malayali youth.
Vaazha is directed by Anand Menen of Gauthamante Radham fame and scripted by Vipin Das, popular for directing Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Guruvayoorambala Nadayil. According to Vipin, Vaazha is a "male version of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey." Though it has comedy, it's a slightly emotional film focusing on men's issues, he had earlier said.
The film stars Jeomon Jyothir, Saafboi, Siju Sunny, Anuraj, and Amith Mohan Rajeswari in the main roles. The cast also includes seasoned artists like Jagadish, Kottayam Nazeer, Noby Marcose, and Azees Nedumangad. Basil Joseph will also be seen in a cameo role.
Vaazha has cinematography by Aravind Puthussery, editing by Kannan Mohan, and background score by A Team. Vipin Das is also co-producing the film under his banner WBTS Productions, alongside Imagin Cinemas' Harris Desom, PB Anish, and Adarsh Narayan.
