The shoot of Tovino's recently announced film Narivetta commenced on Friday. The makers informed the same by sharing some stills from the first day's shoot. The film is directed by Anuraj Manohar, who made an impressive debut in 2019 with Ishq. Though Anuraj had announced Shekara Varma Rajavu, a Nivin Pauly-starrer, as his second film, it has currently been put on hold.
Narivetta, reportedly based on real incidents, marks the scripting debut of former journalist and Sahitya Akademi award-winning writer Abin Joseph. The film marks the Malayalam debut of Tamil actor-director Cheran. Suraj Venjaramoodu, Arya Salim, Thottappan-fame Priyamvadha Krishnan, and Rini Udayakumar will be seen in other pivotal roles.
Narivetta is produced by Tippu Shah and Shiyas Hassan under the banner of Indian Film Company. The film has Jakes Bejoy composing the music, Shameer Muhammed on the editing table, and Iratta cinematographer Vijay wielding the camera.
Tovino, who recently wrapped up the shoot of Akhil Paul and Anas Khan's Identity, has several other projects in different stages of production. It includes the 3D action adventure Ajayante Randam Moshanam and the Lucifer sequel Empuraan. Debutante Shilpa Alexander's Avaran and Saiju Sreedharan's Munpe are also waiting to go on floors.
