Manju Warrier's Footage gets a release date

Manju Warrier's Footage will be released on August 2, announced the makers on Friday along with a new poster. The upcoming film marks the directorial debut of editor Saiju Sreedharan. Along with Manju, it also features Vishak Nair and Gayathri Ashok in the lead roles.

According to the makers, Footage is Malayalam's first found-footage film. Besides directing and editing, Saiju has also co-written the film with Shabna Mohammed. Shinoz has handled its cinematography, and the post-rock band aswekeepsearching is credited for its original motion picture soundtrack. Footage is produced by Bineesh Chandran and Saiju Sreedharan, with Rahul Rajeev and Suraj Menon serving as co-producers. Movie Bucket will be distributing the film.

Saiju is best known for editing films like Maheshinte Prathikaram, Mayaanadhi, Kumbalangi Nights, Virus and Anjaam Pathiraa. He is also teaming up with Tovino Thomas for his sophomore directorial; titled Munpe, the film is billed as a fantasy love story.
