Malaikottai Vaaliban clears censorship formalities 

As Mohanlal- starrer Malaikottai Vaaliban is set to hit the theatres on January 25, it has now been learned that the film has completed the censorship formalities with a UA certificate. According to reports, the film will have a runtime of 2. 35 hours. 

Malaikottai Vaaliban, helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery, will have two parts. According to the reports, the film's second part has yet to be filmed. Recently, there were speculations that Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery would be teaming up again after the actor wrapped up shooting for the Joshiy directorial Rambaan.

Malaikottai Vaaliban is one of the most ambitious projects in Mohanlal's career. It marks his first collaboration with Lijo. According to reports, in the film, Mohanlal will be playing the role of a wrestler from the pre-Independence era. 

Besides Mohanlal, Malaikottai Vaaliban also stars Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Manoj Moses, Katha Nandi, Danish Sait and Manikandan Achari. 

The film has a script penned by Lijo along with PS Rafeeque. In Malaikottai Vaaliban, Lijo reunites with the cinematographer and editor of his previous film, Churuli, Madhu Neelakandan and Deepu Joseph, respectively. The film has music composed by Prashant Pillai.
