While the much-hyped film Malaikottai Vaaliban, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, is gearing up for a release on January 25, the makers released a new poster on Saturday. Apart from Malayalam, the new poster has been released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
The film, which is one of the most ambitious projects in Mohanlal's career, is helmed by the acclaimed director Lijo Jose Pellissery. It also marks the duo's first collaboration together. It was earlier reported that in the film, Mohanlal will be playing the role of a wrestler from the pre-Independence era.

Besides Mohanlal, Malaikottai Vaaliban also stars Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Manoj Moses, Katha Nandi, Danish Sait and Manikandan Achari.
The film has a script penned by Lijo along with PS Rafeeque. In the movie, Lijo reunites with the cinematographer and editor of his previous film, Churuli, Madhu Neelakandan and Deepu Joseph, respectively.
