With Bramayugam gearing up for a release on February 16, the makers released the film's trailer on Saturday. The film, starring Mammootty and Arjun Ashokan in the lead roles, is directed by Rahul Sadasivan, who previously helmed Bhoothakaalam.
The makers of Bhoothakaalam have confirmed that it will be released in black and white. The trailer is a more pronounced version of the earlier released teaser. Although the trailer doesn't reveal much, it seems that Arjun Ashokan's character is trapped in an old-fashioned house, unable to escape. A dialogue said by Arjun's character about the game of dice is being repeated , which might be a hint that he is stuck in a loop, dictated by Mammootty's character, who seems like a ruthless sorcerer of sorts.

According to the makers, Bramayugam is a horror thriller set in the dark ages of Kerala. The film is scripted by Rahul Sadasivan, with dialogues by award-winning novelist TD Ramakrishnan.
Bramayugam is the debut production of Y Not Studios' newly launched banner, Night Shift Studios, which focuses exclusively on horror thrillers. Besides Malayalam, the film is planned to be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
